St. Pius X Federal Credit Union (SPXFCU) was established in 1967 with the intention of serving the parishioners and families from SPX Church in Chili, NY, and other affiliate churches around the Rochester area.



The Challenge

The former SPXFCU brand was outdated and generic, so the target areas the Phu Concepts team addressed were logo redesign, website recreation, a wider online marketing presence, and standardizing the brand voice and hierarchy. Careful attention had to be given to refresh the original logo since it carried equity and recognition throughout the community.

There was also the larger question of how to arrange and create a proper website architecture for the growing features and mobile developments that SPXFCU was, and still is, developing. Since SPXFCU was looking to expand their reach to school-age children and young adults, social media and online marketing played a crucial part in their rebrand as well.

Our Solution

The result of the rebranding process was a realization of what the brand should be: a standard that honors SPXFCU’s history, while exploring a refined and modern design style. The new iteration includes an overall brand standardization, a refreshed logo, website redesign, print collateral that embodies SPXFCU’s spirit while marketing to a younger audience, and a heavy online presence through original and curated social media postings.

SPXFCU have happier current members because of their new website, an increase in new member signups, and a wider outreach thanks to social media broadcasts and management. This campaign is ongoing and we expect great results on all future projects with SPXFCU.
